FAQs
How does laser tattoo removal work?
Laser tattoo removal works by using short, high-powered pulses of light to fragment the ink particles of the tattoo into smaller fragments. This allows them to be removed and disposed of by the immune system, thus removing the tattoo over time.
There are other forms of tattoo removal, such as dermabrasion (scrubbing layers of skin off), TCA (using acid to remove skins layers) and excision (surgically removing the tattooed skin). But, laser tattoo removal is the safest, most effective way to remove tattoos without permanent damage to the skin.

How do I prepare for a laser tattoo removal session?
To ensure you feel your best for your laser tattoo removal session make sure you are hydrated, have eaten, wear loose clothing that wont rub the area after removal and don't put any creams or perfumes on the area.
For laser tattoo removal to be as effective as possible you want your immune system working well, so if you are ill you should rearrange your appointment. We do not charge for rearranged/cancellations appointment.
How do I look after my skin after a laser tattoo removal session?
After having laser tattoo removal you can expect the area to be hot, red and swollen. It may also bleed, be raised and itchy or blister, this is all normal. A cold compress/ice can be used to cool the area, just don't apply ice directly to the area as it can cause burns.
Keep the area clean with warm soapy water, but do not soak it, and pat dry with a paper towel. Use pure Aloe Vera gel to moisturise the area when it gets dry and itchy. Blisters, crusts and scabs developing 8-72 hours after the treatment is a normal part of the healing process. DO NOT pick, peel, rub or scratch them!
Showering is okay but avoid high pressure water on the area and do not have a bath/swim/hot tub until it is healed. Avoid exposure to the sun for 2 months after the treatment, if it can’t be covered use a high SPF sun cream. For at least 48 hours following treatment avoid exercising as excessive perspiration can affect the healing process.
Drink more water and avoid drinking alcohol/smoking to aid healing and to help the lymphatic system to remove your tattoo!
